BOPinion & The Sibesonke CommunityOur service provides the Base of the Pyramid's opinion; their BOPinion! Surveys are sent to our Sibesonke community across South Africa through our Sibesonke service, and they primarily represent young, low-income, black opinion leaders. They have traditionally been a hard to reach demographic, yet through the technological developments of Sibesonke, their voice can now easily be heard.
How it works?We use cell phones dialing a *number# string (USSD) to conduct user surveys. Phone owners can conveniently access a questionnaire sent to their phone and reply with their answers. The data is accumulated instantly with results being aggregated in real time. BOPinion thus allows very fast results with cost competitive pricing in large geographic diversity. Because BOPinion works on even 10 year old phones, we reach the Base of The Pyramid effectively - including those in rural areas. But BOPinion works also on smart phones to reach higher end markets.
